There´s a magic place in La Gomera and it´s Garajonay National Park with over 10% of island surface. Weak mist and the frondy forest make us imagine easily about the goblins, gnomes and fairy underworld.
All joking aside fayal, heather, acevino and laurel trees are sample of the ecological diversity worth of this natural area. Within endemic group of species we must the “Rabiche” and the “Turque” pigeon must be also mentioned. Different pathes lead excursions, maybe, to the islands highest cascade with about 190 m passing by the chapel of Lourdes always acompanied by gurgling of the stream.. Restaurante Las Chacaras can be a good choice to enjoy local gastronomy after spending day walking around the National Park!
