La Gomera itinerary: Agulo, Chipude, and Abrante View Point


Take a trip round la Gomera taking GM1 road and arrive to Agulo, a north-coast villgje trapped among the beauty of Garajonay´s National Park rainforest and the inmensity of Atlantic ocean below. From the capital San Sebastian de la Gomera it take just 30 min. aprox. But you can late a little more if you stop enjoying few view point on the way. Have a relaxed walk arround the village and pass though stone narrow streets. Try delicious handicraft buiscuits and take some shots to the traidicional native arquitectura of XVIII Century. Maybe Agulo can be considered the prettiest village on the whole of La Gomera.”La Vieja Escuela” Restaurant ( located in Agulo) is a perfect place to have a good meal. Specialized infish, seafood and goat cheese spread . (C/ Poeta Trujillo Armas,922146004– 676595472).

Chipude is a little Hamlet located aprox. 18 kilometres from Agulo. This is the perfect place to buy some native Gomeran ceramic and try famous goat cheese and palm honey and also wine of their own bodega. Admire de vistas of palm tres floating over Sea of cloud. This is priceless.

Abrante View Point
Mirador de Abrante is a mountain viewing point/restaurant in the north has fabulous views over Agulo. Not highly recomended if you suffer of vertigo a unique glasswalk projected over the cliff. Take a great lunch with views to sea and enjoy Tenerife´s natural skyline . Maybe you´ll be lucky to be witness of Gomeran Silbo exhibition, the well known native whisteling lenguage.
